& PRAISE MINISTRIES
ABOUT US
We believe in the oneness of God and in the triune nature of God found in God the Father in Creation, God the Son in Redemption, God the Holy Ghost sent from Heaven to indwell believers. We believe in the baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins according to Acts 2:38, the laying on of hands and praying for the sick according to James 5:14.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to build houses of refuge for men and women namely, the Judah House for Men and Hannah House for women. God has anointed us to minister to people who suffer from substance and alcohol abuse and has charged us to provide food, clothing and spiritual counseling to those in need.
OUR MISSION
Equipped with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, the mission of this ministry is evangelism. In outreach, our goal is to reach every nation through the Word of God which ministers life, healing love and wholeness.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible
We believe the Bible, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God
CHURCH HISTORY
True Deliverance and Praise Ministry was founded by Apostle George E. and the late Pastor Mary E. Rouser. Like the early church, they started the church out of their home in 1993. The original members were their immediate family. Shortly thereafter, they added members, Elders-Mother Kelley (mother of the church), Howard Boothe, Ministers Sharon Spencer, Richard Brown and Pamela Brown, Evangelist-Deborah Boothe, and Deacons Randolph Peele and Vinson Foster.

After being discipled under the auspices of his parents, Corey Rouser was elevated and ordained Pastor. Moreover, God elevated servants Deborah Boothe, Randolph Peele, Felicia Carter, Jamon Green, and Emmanuelle Butler to Elder, and Sheila Bunche to Minister, Deacons, Jerry Bunch and Lorenzo Williams, Missionaries, Robin Butler and Rosalind Peele, and Mother of the Church, Sister Denise Comeaux. As is the goal of ministry and the role of spiritual parents, Apostle Rouser launched Minister Sharon Spencer into ministry. She is presently Chief Apostle Sharon Spencer and along with her husband Apostle Aundré Spencer, they are the founders and overseers of True Victory Ministries located in Hampton, Virginia. In addition, Apostle Rouser is the spiritual father and provides covering over Apostle Wayne and Pastor Miranda McPhatter of Jesus is the Way Apostolic Ministry, located in Raleigh, NC, as well as Unified for Kingdom Purposes Churches, Inc.
The church began with a Gospel Choir of only five members, a drummer and the dependence of the Holy Spirit. Since then God has blessed us with an awesome Praise and Worship Team consisting of seven members namely, George, lead Minister of Music, Aaron, drummer, and we have been blessed with a bass player. And yes, we are still depending on the anointing of God. Our church colors are burgundy and white, and the church symbol is the dove, which represents gentleness.
Apostle Rouser was not appointed by man but called by God. In 1993 then Pastor Rouser performed his first Baptism and conducted his first wedding in 1994 respectively. Equipped with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, God has given Apostle Rouser a vision to evangelize the world and especially those of low decree. As a ministry, we have a passion for those who are bound by substance abuse, alcoholism and homelessness. It is our desire to establish a house of refuge for people in transition from substance abuse and alcoholism to sobriety. To help us realize this vision God has blessed the ministry to not only purchase the church but a house beside the church where we can launch the Judah and Hannah House of Refuge. The Lord also gifted us with special parking in an alley running alongside the property for parking.

Our intent is not to be just another church under the heading of deliverance but one where true freedom is received. With great praise, prayer, sacrifice and the creation of an environment of worship that invites the presence of the Holy Spirit, many people have experienced freedom from drugs, alcohol, low self-esteem and healing. We are truly blessed and thank God for letting his presence rest within our walls.
In remembrance of those who have transitioned from this life to glory, we recognize our very own First Lady Mary E. Rouser, Mother of our church Prophetess Shirley Kelley, Assistant Pastor Howard Boothe, wife Diana Boothe, son Lil Howard, Michael Boothe, Elder Jacqueline Hatcher, Brother Ricky Peele, Sister Kim Peele, Brother Freddie Butler, and Brother Anton Bunch.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight."- 2 Corinthians 5:7
BAPTISM
In the Old Testament, the Levitical Priests and Jewish people practiced baptism through ritual cleansing. John's baptism of repentance in the New Testament continued the pattern and served as a type and shadow of cleansing from sin that is only offered through Christ Jesus. Jesus emphasized the importance of baptism by being baptized himself by John at the start of His ministry. The act of baptism is symbolic of the believer being baptized into Christ's death and upon ascension from the water, being raised into the newness of life.
